In the early hours of June 6, 1944, known as D-Day, Sergeant Richard Taylor, a signal corps cameraman, captured some of the only motion picture footage from Omaha Beach during the invasion. This historic footage is accompanied by photographs taken in the same area by Taylor himself.
Taylor was part of Detachment L from the 165th Signal Photographic Company, assigned to cover Omaha Beach.
