"The Sickly CEO’s Shared Senses" Chapter 68
68. The Upgrade of Shared Perception
While she was secretly feeling awkward, the bedroom door was suddenly opened.
Hearing the movement, Tara hid inside the restroom without a second thought. However, she was very quickly caught and pulled out.
"What is Your Highness hiding for, mhm?"
As a cold, overbearing aura pressed down, Tara’s expression was filled with awkwardness, her cheeks burning as if scorched by fire.
Heavens, could the form of address "Highness" please not be this embarrassing?
Completely unable to take it, she simply spun half a circle within his embrace, looking at him face-to-face as she murmured in a small whisper, "Don't call me that."
"Mhm, snapped back to reality?"
Killian felt amused. Confining her thighs, he lifted her up and placed her onto the vanity counter, his waist leaning slightly forward to press against her, causing her legs to drape around his waist.
This was an exceptionally convenient posture for kissing.
He leaned close, his nose resting against hers, their breaths mingling as he teased, "Then what should we do? Do you still want that celebrity male concubine?"
Tara was embarrassed to death. She simply encircled his waist, utilizing this posture to bury her cheek within his chest, murmuring muffledly, "Killian, you don't have to indulge her like this..."
"Her" naturally referred to Empress Tara.
Otherwise, next time, Empress Tara would definitely have him continue playing roles including but not limited to a race car driver, a nightclub male model, or a mafia boss for her amusement.
Because these were all types of modern male concubines Empress Tara liked.
The moment Tara associated those mental images, she felt so awkward she wanted to die!
"It doesn't matter."
"As long as baby likes it, I can satisfy everything."
His large palm gently caressed the back of her head, his low, magnetic voice saturated with a smile, yet his tone was exceptionally earnest. "In the future, we still have a very long duration of time to spend together."
"Therefore..." He lowered his head, kissing her forehead, his dark eyes gazing at her seriously. "No matter what appearance you turn into or what you want to do in the future, I will accompany you by your side until your symptom completely heals."
Tara froze.
After a moment, the awkwardness deep in her heart vanished completely, the corners of her lips uncontrollably curving upward in happiness. "Mhm."
Tara, when returning to a lucid state, was always highly prone to sleepiness.
Therefore, after lunch, unable to withstand the wave of drowsiness, she fell straight asleep.
Later on, she was awakened by the sensation of being soaked within warm water.
At this time, nightfall had already descended.
She opened her eyes in somewhat of a daze to look at the scene before her.
The lights weren't on inside the bedroom, and the soft moonlight spilled in through the French windows.
She saw that on the wide, large bed, her sleeping posture was orderly, with a thin silk duvet covering it—she was clearly situated within a highly dry environment.

Therefore, where this sensation of being soaked within water columns originated from required no further thought.
Their physical shared perception had actually recovered, but it seemed to have undergone a different variation.
First was the shift in her sense of smell.
She clearly wasn't inside the bathroom right now, yet between her breaths, there was a sensation of being filled with water vapor and heat waves.
Furthermore, there was the shift on her skin's surface layer.
This shift, relying merely upon the moonlight, could also be viewed with exceptional clarity.
She saw that upon her originally pale skin surface, a light pink flush had currently fully spread over it.
Could it be exactly what she was thinking?
She wasn't certain, so she still decided to go verify it in person.
Thus, a brief moment later.
Click.
Killian was currently taking a bath inside the bathroom when the door was suddenly opened.
Looking at Tara, who walked inside carrying a glass of milk, his expression froze for a moment. "Tara?" He then moved to stand up.
But Tara had already taken a step forward to arrive close, pressing him back down into the water. "Killian, are you thirsty?"
As she spoke, she had already brought the milk right to his lips.
Following that, she very distinctly smelled a rich aroma of milk, causing the expression deep within her eyes to shift slightly.
As expected,
she thought to herself.
The shift in her gaze was very minuscule, but Killian still noticed it. He simply looked at her like this, his gaze deepening slightly.
Changed again?
Looking at this manner of hers, could she have picked up a toxic-wife character setting, intending to poison her husband?
"Killian, aren't you going to drink it?"
Seeing that Killian had no reaction for a long while, Tara couldn't help but urge him. After all, she hadn't tested the shift in her sense of taste yet!
However, this action was once again misunderstood by Killian.
So impatient; it seems it truly is that role.
His thin, long phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, and he ultimately still reached out to take the milk from her hand. Then, under her expectant gaze...
Plop.
The transparent glass cup along with the milk dropped into the bathtub the next second, entirely caught off guard.
"Ah, sorry!" Killian imperceptibly curled his lips, picking up the glass cup from the bathtub. "My hand slipped. I'm sorry, baby."
"It doesn't matter," Tara smiled exceedingly tenderly, taking the cup from his hand. "I'll go pour you another glass."
Killian: "..."
No, did she want him dead that badly?
What a ruthless heart!
Helpless, he simply reached out to encircle her waist the exact instant she turned around, and then exerted a slight force.
In an instant, amidst a splashing sound of water, Tara was held by her waist and pulled straight into the bathtub by him, pressing closely against him across a thin layer of silk nightgown fabric.

"Mhm, what are you doing..." Tara lifted her face, gazing at him in a daze.
Her cheek was suddenly pinched gently by him, and squeezed as if in resentment. "What are
you
trying to do, mhm?"
What did she want to do?
Naturally, it was to verify that conjecture!
It could already be confirmed that right now, her physical shared perception with him possessed one more item than before—the sense of smell.
As for the shared perception of skin surface variations...
She decided it was better to verify it once more.
With this thought, she simply lowered her head, pressing her lips against his well-defined collarbone, and then using her pearly teeth to exert a slight force, she bit into that surface layer of skin.
Killian's expression froze. As his Adam's apple rolled, his voice sounded deep: "Tara?"
Tara didn't pay him any mind, merely making her sucking and biting force a fraction greater, letting go only after quite a while.
Lowering her eyes to look now, a tiny red hickey had already been printed onto his collarbone.
She then immediately looked toward her own collarbone area.
At this moment, an identical tiny hickey impressively appeared upon it as well.
Killian also noticed this obvious variation, a look of uncertainty surfacing within his dark eyes.
"As expected," Tara murmured softly.
Killian looked down at her with sinking eyes. "What?"
Looking at him, Tara simply spoke out about everything regarding her ability to share physical perceptions with him. Furthermore, she also spoke about how she had once falsely pursued him back then in order to keep him in check because of this matter.
"Is that so..." A brief moment later, he spoke in a low voice, his expression filled with shock and daze.
"I'm sorry, Killian," Tara tugged at his arm, explaining with guilt and urgency, "even though it was fake at the very beginning, later on, I truly fell in love with you. You must believe me!"
He slightly lowered his eyes to gaze into her clean, translucent eyes, and after watching quietly like this for a few seconds, he suddenly smiled. "Mhm, I believe you."
Hearing this, Tara let out a slight sigh of relief.
However, the next second, he suddenly raised his hands to cup her cheeks, his dark eyes entirely filled with heartache: "I'm sorry. Because of me, it caused you distress for such a long duration."
Tara’s long eyelashes trembled slightly. Simply going along with this posture, she rubbed gently against his palm. "No, right now I am highly joyful to be able to possess such a bond with you."
"But," her gaze carried worry as she spoke, "once I enter the Identity Recognition Disorder state, I will definitely not remember any of it." She leaned close, staring fixedly at him to emphasize: "Therefore, Killian, moving forward, you absolutely must take good care of your own body. Take things easy in everything, and don't let 'me' notice anything unusual too obviously. I'm afraid it might be disadvantageous to you."
"Also, if your skin-hunger disorder flares up, you must remember to hold me more, or kiss me. Otherwise, I will feel exceptionally uncomfortable, and when the time comes, I won't have my memories—I might end up driving myself crazy and crashing into you out of an inability to endure it!"
Killian turned up the corners of his lips, answering warmly, "Alright."
