"The Sickly CEO’s Shared Senses" Chapter 62
62. Husband
Though they said they were moving things, there weren't actually too many things to move.
Because when Tara moved into the Starry Yard where Killian currently lived the following evening, he had already completely purchased everything she could want.
For instance, the walk-in closet right now.
She stared in shock at this closet that was comparable to a shopping mall, filled with all sorts of luxury clothes, jewelry, shoes, and bags, most of which were this year's limited-edition haute couture.
"I only bought these for the time being. The others are still being rushed by people."
Killian turned around, pulling her into his embrace, lowering his head to rest against her fluffy head, his voice slightly hoarse. "Tara, I'm sorry."
Sorry for making her bear so much silently by herself, making her go far away from home alone, distant from family and friends, living in that foreign country where she knew no one.
He held her very tightly, so tightly that Tara could barely catch her breath.
She didn't understand why he was apologizing to her.
Besides, these things were already so numerous, yet he actually used the words "only bought these" to describe it.
This left Tara somewhat flattered and overwhelmed by the unexpected favor. After all, when he initially proposed letting her become his lover, it was merely because he had taken a liking to her face.
In short, it was an act driven by physical attraction, a matter devoid of affection.
So, was he specially showing her these things to imply that she needed to perform well?
Tara thought about it, then suddenly stood on her tiptoes, placatingly kissing his tense jaw. "Thank you, CEO Qi. These are very nice, I like them a lot."
Her eyes were very bright, her expression soft and obedient.
She ought to be angry, she ought to be willful, she ought to vent her grievances from all these years!
Instead of coming to please him once again because of this damn illness.
"Tara, don't call me CEO Qi."
He didn't know what kind of movies, TV dramas, or novels she had watched to imagine herself as such an absurd character.
He didn't like her placing herself in such an inferior position at all.
Although the doctor had said it was best not to excessively interfere with her assumptions, he still couldn't hold back.
"You can call me by my name."
He raised his hand, tenderly and lingeringly caressing this beautiful cheek that he had yearned for day and night for many years, his phoenix eyes gazing at her very seriously as he corrected, "You are not my lover either, but my girlfriend. Do you remember?"
Tara was slightly stunned.
What kind of game was this now?
Back then, he had been so wildly arrogant, cool, and proud when demanding she be his lover, and he had even specially emphasized to her that it was

just
a lover, telling her not to overthink anything else!
Now he was saying girlfriend?
Tara's expression grew solemn.
She understood.
It must be because the term "lover" was too damaging to his reputation.
After all, for such a famous international president who had always maintained an excellent reputation, if rumors spread about him keeping a mistress, he would definitely be criticized by many people.
Tara couldn't possibly actually take it seriously and treat herself as his girlfriend.
The lover duties that needed to be executed still had to be executed.
Moreover, she didn't dare to directly call him by his name.
"Then can I call you Brother Killian, okay?"
Her watery, large eyes gazed at him gently.
Brother Killian...
Killian frowned slightly.
It still sounded like a very distant and unfamiliar feeling.
Seeing his expression, Tara knew he didn't like it. She pondered for a moment, and suddenly thinking of something, her cheeks flushed slightly as she said, "Then..."
"Husband?"
The atmosphere suddenly fell quiet.
After a moment, Killian's voice sounded slightly hoarse. "What?"
Tara bit her lower lip uneasily.
What did this reaction of his mean?
She looked at him direct and discouraged, saying, "You don't like it? Then I'll change—"
"I like it."
He interrupted her, his deep, dark eyes gazing at her with burning intensity. "Baby, call me that one more time."
Hearing the endearment "Baby" left Tara stunned, and following that, her cheeks uncontrollably burned even hotter.
It turned out that CEO Qi played things so wildly and mushily in private.
She thus obediently called out once more, "Husband."
Her soft, melodic voice carried the sweet and gentle cadence unique to southern girls, sounding as if she were acting spoiled.
"Mhm."
Killian responded in a deep, hoarse tone, and then unable to help himself, he leaned down and kissed her soft, flushed lips.
This was an unannounced, yet exceptionally gentle kiss.
Tara paused for a moment, but still remembering her identity, she actively responded to him.
Their lips and teeth tangled together, accompanied by distinct, ambiguous sounds of moisture echoing within the walk-in closet.
He was deeply moved, kissing her for an exceptionally long duration.
Tara very unpromisingly had her legs turn soft from the kiss, and in the end, she was lifted by him and placed onto the jewelry display cabinet. He pressed her pale, bare legs apart to wrap them around his lean waist, bringing her into close alignment with him.
This posture was truly far too bold for Tara, making certain sensory shifts highly apparent.
In fact, as early as when he proposed this transaction, Tara had already prepared herself.
If he were uninterested in her, that would be when she should truly worry.
After all, for him to find a lover was far too simple.
If she failed to satisfy him and he went to look for someone else, refusing to help her family get through the crisis, she would cry herself to death.

With this thought, she raised her hands to encircle his well-defined neck, purposely tightening her legs around him slightly. Her red lips, glistening from the kiss, exhaled a breath like orchids by his ear as she called him in a shy, soft voice, "Husband."
The hint was highly obvious.
Yet Killian didn't receive her hint.
Right now, being able to hold her like this, kiss her, and listen to her softly call him husband was, to a certain extent, entirely stolen time.
If she hadn't suddenly suffered from Identity Recognition Disorder Syndrome, what she would be saying to him might be words like "I hate you" and "I don't want you anymore."
If she briefly snapped back to reality during this period, there was no telling how angry she would be.
Thinking of this, a pang of pain hit his heart. He gently rubbed her soft cheek with the pad of his thumb. "You just came back from the hospital; you need to rest well."
With that, he hooked his hands around the soft flesh of her thighs, lifting her up to walk over to the bedroom, placing her onto the soft, large bed, pulling her into his embrace, and rubbing her head. "Sleep."
Tara blinked her eyes.
She had gone this far, yet he actually didn't touch her?
Did he find her unsatisfactory?
Could it be that he blamed her for only washing her face and brushing her teeth, but not taking a bath or applying fragrant lotion, so he had no desire?
Sometimes, minor dissatisfactions accumulated day by day would turn into massive conflicts.
At present, her family's situation had not improved yet. She couldn't afford to gamble; she had to be extremely careful.
Thinking of this, she lifted her little face and said, "Husband, I want to take a bath first."
He agreed. "Alright, shall I help you wash?"
How could she let him serve her.
However, that he was willing to proactively help her bathe was surprising to her.
It seemed his lack of reaction just now was indeed because she hadn't taken a bath.
Inside the bathroom, the steaming mist was dense and swirling.
Tara felt very comfortable, so she couldn't help but soak for a bit longer, ultimately falling straight asleep.
In the end, she was awakened by his movement of scooping her up.
Looking at her sleepy, dazed open eyes, his naturally sharp, narrow, and long phoenix eyes surfaced with gentle ripples. "Sorry, did I wake you? I—"
Tara stared at him blankly, already unable to take in whatever he was saying.
Everything from these past two days completely surfaced in her mind at this moment.
He had finished kissing Mancy and then bullied her.
She was very angry. She had said it—she didn't want him anymore, and she didn't want to see him ever again!
But because of that suddenly appearing illness, what on earth had she done?
Not only did she claim she was his lover, but she also called him husband, and even proactively "invited" him!
Ahhhhh!
She didn't want this!
"Let go of me!"
An overwhelming surge of grievance came crashing down. Her eyes turned wet and red, and she looked at him with resistance. "I want to go home, I don't want to be with you!"
Killian looked at her clear eyes and paused.
Then he immediately reacted—she had briefly snapped back to reality.
