"Forbidden Pulse: Don't, Uncle!" Chapter 48
Chapter 48: Little Heartless One
Luna Hayes was somewhat impatient.
If Adrian Cross hadn't said she could see Julian Kingston, she wouldn't have waited this long.
Now he had inexplicably run out of the private room again.
She could only chase after him.
"Wait a moment," Adrian blocked her path, shielding the half-open private room door. "Julian told me he has a temporary matter. How about we head back first?"
Hearing this, Luna's expression turned a bit unsightly.
"Doctor Cross, are you deliberately teasing me?"
"How could I do that?"
Adrian smiled apologetically, silently complaining about Julian in his heart.
Usually, he looked like a man who kept clear of women, but who would have thought that the moment there was a spark, he found two.
"Alright."
He was Julian's colleague, so Luna wouldn't say anything too out of line.
She compromised and walked outward.
Seeing this, Adrian let out a breath of relief. Just as he was about to turn around and close the door, Luna suddenly doubled back. "Doctor Cross, I want to ask..."
Adrian was startled, instinctively blocking her again. "Whatever it is, just say it."
He didn't manage to adjust his position well this time, and Luna faintly glimpsed the scene inside the private room.
A man wearing a white shirt braced one hand on the sofa armrest, his knee sinking into the cushion as he bent his waist, cradling a woman in his arms.
Luna couldn't resist taking two steps forward.
When she clearly saw the man's features, she cried out:
"Mr. Kingston?!"
He already had a girlfriend?
And he hid it from Old Mr. Kingston, and also hid it from Willow Avery?
Instinctively, she wanted to see what kind of appearance the woman in his arms possessed.
"Get out."
Julian's voice seemed dipped in ice.
Luna instinctively halted her steps. "Mr. Kingston, you know my feelings toward you. I wonder if you could let me see your girlfriend? That way I can clearly know exactly where I lost."
Listening to this, Willow's heart leaped into her throat.
Ever since the matter of falling from the horse, the two of them had chatted once and hadn't contacted each other; she was also deliberately distancing herself from her. If Luna saw that the one with Julian right now was her, she would probably directly reveal it to Grandpa Sterling.
In her panic, a suit jacket covered her over her head.
Julian's indifferent voice sounded immediately after: "Beat it."
Never mind Luna, even Adrian was startled.
He had worked with Julian for several years.
In his impression, though Julian was difficult to approach, his emotions were exceptionally stable.
Even when facing a patient making a groundless scene, he could patiently comfort them.
Today's state meant he was probably truly provoked.
The person was brought here by him, so he had to get her away.
He tentatively pulled at Luna: "How about we go out first?"

Luna bit her teeth in unwillingness, turning around to leave.
After walking a stretch of road with Adrian, she spoke tentatively: "Doctor Cross, does he have a girlfriend? Has he been hiding it from me all along?"
Adrian laughed it off: "He’s a man of few words and has never spoken to me about emotional problems."
He was also full of questions.
However, just now he noticed Julian's state was off.
Could it be that coming to this club, he was drugged?
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but look back at the club's main entrance.
Newly opened.
How proper.
This kind of fantasy matter shouldn't be possible to happen, right?
But he was still worried, sending a message over to ask.
[Buddy, did you get drugged? Your face is so red? Do you need me to help you call the police?]
...
Willow shrank beneath the suit jacket.
Fearing being discovered, she stuffed her entire body inside.
Julian looked down at her, his lips and tongue seeming somewhat dry.
Those who studied dance possessed very good flexibility.
He knew this better than anyone.
Not hearing any commotion for a long time, Willow asked in a small voice: "Have they left?"
Julian didn't respond.
He bent his body down, across a layer of the suit.
He kissed the position of her cheek.
With extreme care.
Then he rose slowly, suppressing the emotions in the depths of his eyes.
"That scared?"
Willow nodded honestly: "Mm."
If the two of them were discovered, it wasn't a simple matter between a man and a woman.
But an ethical...
Julian parted his thin lips, wanting to say something, but in the end still didn't voice it.
Only saying: "They've left."
Hearing this, Willow let out a breath of relief.
She was just planning to pull away the suit jacket when Julian's appearance from just now suddenly floated into her mind.
Reddened eyes, and even taking off clothes...
"Uncle Julian," she asked tentatively, "are you alright now?"
"Alright."
"Really?"
Fearing her phrasing wasn't accurate enough, Willow added a follow-up question: "You don't want to... sleep with me anymore?"
The young girl's voice was clear and sweet.
Muddled and innocent.
The emotions Julian had suppressed surged up once more.
Sooner or later, he would be driven mad by her.
He raised his hand to fling open the suit jacket, meeting her face: "These words, you are not allowed to say to other men."
Willow blinked her eyelashes twice.
Did she say any words?
But since it was her uncle's request, she nodded: "Okay."
Julian's body retreated, and Willow hurriedly sat up from the sofa.
"Uncle Julian, shall we go back?"
The longer they stayed here, the more dangerous it was.
"Mm."
The plan having been disrupted, Julian lost the intention to stay.
Tomorrow Willow still had to attend school; going back early was also good.
Lest she lacked energy.

Lifting his jacket, he walked two steps forward.
The view in front of his eyes was blurring heavily.
He didn't frequently drink alcohol, and his tolerance wasn't good; Willow had poured quite a bit down him, which was close to his limit.
His feet faltered for two steps, and he supported himself on the back of the sofa.
"Uncle Julian, are you alright?"
Willow noticed his abnormality, asking: "Are you drunk?"
"Mm." Julian pressed his temples. "Support me."
"Me?"
Willow instinctively didn't quite want to: "How about I go find a waiter for you?"
"Willow Avery," Julian turned his head to look at her, his speaking speed very slow due to the alcohol, "who was it that persuaded me to drink this much?"
Unwilling to even support his arm.
Little heartless one.
Willow bit her lip in guilt.
It seemed to be her fault.
After a battle between heaven and earth, she pulled Julian's arm to place it over her shoulder, her arm intimately encircling the man's lean waist.
Her fingertips accidentally moved twice.
Her face flushed with discomfort.
The muscles were so hard.
Julian was stunned by her action.
In Willow's eyes.
Supporting—was supported like this?
The two were intimately pressed together.
With the slightest turn of his head, he could smell the scent belonging to her.
No wonder she was unwilling just now.
"Uncle Julian," Willow saw Julian didn't move, asking, "is my posture incorrect?"
"Quite correct."
Julian let out a light cough: "Let's go."
"Oh, okay."
Willow supported Julian all the way out of the club.
She didn't have a driver's license, and Julian had also drunk alcohol, so she simply hailed a taxi.
Supporting the man to sit into the back seat together, she looked at her uncle who was completely out of it, inevitably feeling a bit guilty.
She seemed to have poured too much...
"Uncle Julian," listening to the man's gradually heavy breathing, she considerately rolled up the car window for him, "you sleep first, I'll call you when we arrive."
At that moment, outside.
Luna Hayes was sitting in a BMW, waiting for Julian to come out.
She wanted to see exactly who the person daring to snatch him from her was.
But after quite a while, she didn't see his car.
Her line of sight shifted around randomly, and upon seeing a taxi, her eyes lit up.
Julian was leaning against the seat back, seemingly asleep.
Just as she was about to make a sound, a woman's hand appeared in front of him.
Rolling up the car window.
Luna's fingernails dug into her palm.
The color of the clothes that woman wore was identical to what she had seen in the private room.
Her dream of marrying into a wealthy family was truly completely shattered.
She could see Grandpa Sterling's attitude.
He didn't care about his future daughter-in-law's background or family.
He just needed it to be a woman.
How could this be allowed?
The man she took a liking to, she had to get him.
Today, she was going to make this woman die.
Thinking of this, she stepped on the gas, rushing toward the taxi.
