"The Silver Cross: My Angel, My Monster" Chapter 44
Chapter 44: King of Demons (Part III)
Throughout the exchange, Solano remained relaxed and at ease, while I had already become a complete mess.
My light blade missed its mark once again. Both furious and exhausted, I cast aside all concern for my image and plopped down on the ground, glaring resentfully at the terrifying, half-smiling version of Solano.
A cluster of nether-flames swirled up from behind me as Albus and Alastor coincidentally stepped forward together to shield me.
The terrifying Solano frowned slightly, looking like a giant cat whose toy had been snatched away, his face clouding over with impending rage. My heart panicked; he had effortlessly subdued me earlier to the point where I had no power to counterattack. If he truly lost his temper, wouldn't he turn the entire Demon Realm upside down? The current plan... I had to find a way to make him revert to his normal form for safety’s sake.
I stroked my chin, looking at Solano thoughtfully.
While I was lost in thought, Solano, Albus, and Alastor had already entered an ultimate boss free-for-all. Solano had completely abandoned the lightheartedness he used while toying with me; every move was now ruthless and lethal. Albus was no pushover, and Alastor certainly wasn't one to be trifled with either.
Consequently, in no time at all, half of the great hall had been reduced to rubble. I watched with heartache as my own house was being trashed...
My own house? Of course! I am the Queen, after all! This castle is naturally my home.
The various demon clans, having just witnessed the fate of Nazga, now deeply understood that none of these three could be provoked once they went mad—one wrong move and you’d become unlucky cannon fodder. Thus, realizing this, no one dared to step forward to break up the fight; they all stood by like spectators.
Of course, I couldn't rule out the possibility that they were waiting for the "snipe and the clam to grapple" so they, the "fishermen," could profit.
I stared at Solano for a long time until, suddenly, a stroke of inspiration hit me.
Earlier, Solano had repeatedly emphasized not to make him angry, and Nazga had also said not to provoke him... Could it be that his bizarre transformation was driven by rage? That is to say, anger causes him to take the form of Satan Samael... so, if I made him laugh, would he revert to his original state?
I really am a genius!
Samael was gradually gaining the upper hand; even the combined attacks of Albus and Alastor failed to suppress him. Seeing the abyssal black in Solano’s eyes becoming increasingly pure, I realized that if I kept watching, he would probably dismantle the entire castle. Having rested enough, I scrambled to my feet, teleported my body instantly, and lunged at Samael.
Samael clearly noticed me and spared a moment to hurl a fireball my way. I hurriedly dodged to the side, throwing in a sweet smile for good measure. While Samael was momentarily dazed, I had already reached his back and suddenly hugged him from behind.

Albus froze. Alastor turned to stone.
The fireball in Samael’s palm also gradually sputtered out.
Every demon present stared with wide eyes and open mouths, unable to believe that their Majesty the Queen had just thrown herself at him like that.
Taking advantage of everyone’s stupor, I let out a "hehe" laugh, raised my "devil's paws," reached into the terrifying Solano's armpits, and performed an action that made every demon present want to bash their heads against a wall.
I tickled him!
The terrifying Solano’s body twisted slightly, and he suddenly burst into a loud laugh...
Hahaha.
The demons watched helplessly as the legendary Lord Samael laughed without any regard for his image. Tsk tsk! I have to be fair: even when laughing like a madman, he was still so handsome it was a crime against gods and men.
The abyssal black in his eyes faded bit by bit, and under my fumbling hands, Solano reverted to his beautiful youth form.
The corner of Albus’s mouth began to twitch. Alastor clutched his stomach and collapsed onto the floor laughing. The expressions of the surrounding demons were distorted and varied, as colorful and shifting as a kaleidoscope.
The beautiful youth Solano turned around and looked at me.
I laughed sheepishly, let go, and took a step back to keep a safe distance.
"Fine," he said flatly after a long silence.
Fine? I was overjoyed. Had his Lordship mercifully decided to let me go? Just as I was about to rush forward to express my gratitude, his next words made me go limp.
"Since you like the Demon Realm so much, I shall stay here to accompany you..." Solano said very magnanimously, then looked at me with an expression that said he was granting a huge favor, "...for three days."
I shuddered, wanting to cry but having no tears.
He raised an eyebrow, his beautiful brows arching slightly. His face practically screamed three words: "Express your gratitude!"
A wise person submits to circumstances. Being able to stay in the Demon Realm for three days was better than being taken away to some gods-forsaken place immediately. At least here, it would be easier to escape; many variables could happen in three days.
Thinking of this, I immediately beamed with a sun-drenched smile. "You are so kind."
Solano turned his head with a blank expression and let out a cold snort.
Seeing him like this, I secretly gnashed my teeth and cursed in my head: You arrogant, bratty kid!
"What did you say?" he suddenly glared at me.
Uh? He can hear what I’m thinking?
"Apparently so," Solano looked at me indifferently.
I was startled. As expected of Lord Satan!
Only then did Solano satisfiedly withdraw his predatory gaze.
I didn't dare to curse him in my head ever again.
And so, our great Lord Samael moved in quite openly, occupying my bed and my room with total self-righteousness because... supposedly, I am his wife!
This is simply outrageous.

A Demon's Obsession
“You will lose,” Balian Draven said lightly, as if discussing weather instead of fate.“Humans do not fall in love with monsters on command.” Rothgar did not answer immediately. Because monsters, in his experience, always fell in love first. With power. With fear. With inevitability. And humans? Humans always followed. “Define loss,” Rothgar finally said. Balian smiled. “A hundred women,” he said. “Six months. One proposal each. They must say yes willingly.” A pause. Then, amused: “No possession. No coercion. No tricks from the Abyss.” That last part made something in Rothgar’s expression sharpen—barely. “I do not need tricks,” he said. Balian leaned forward slightly. “Good. Then we have a wager.”Mutual Pining|Age Gap|Dark Secrets|Plot Twist|Parallel Universe|Demons|Yandere|Possessive Love|Redemption Arc|Sweet Romance|Fake Relationship|HE22.2k words5 0
