"The Blind Billionaire’s Seven-Year Lie" Chapter 1

Inside the sleek Maybach, Clara was lost in the heat of Night’s kiss. She was completely exposed, while Night remained impeccably dressed in his tailored suit. The stark contrast between them made her flush with a mix of desire and shyness.

Night leaned in, his hand gripping her waist as he pulled her closer. He whispered with a low, teasing chuckle, "The partition is down. The driver can’t hear a thing, and he wouldn't dare to. What are you so shy about, hmm?"

As the usually cold man’s movements grew more fervent, Clara held him with a heart full of devotion. But just as the waves of pleasure were about to reach their peak, the jarring ring of a cellphone shattered the moment.

Night frowned, clearly irritated by the interruption. However, when he saw the caller ID, he answered. Clara, breathless, caught a glimpse of the screen: it was his best friend, Wilder.

"Night, are you out of your mind—"

Night interrupted him in fluent Italian, his voice sharp. "Not convenient. Speak in Italian."

The man on the other end took a sharp breath before continuing in Italian. "Did you really sign the marriage papers with Selene Young? What the hell are you thinking? You went blind saving her, and she ditched you when you hit rock bottom! She nearly destroyed you, and now you’re having a 'happily ever after' with her?!"

The foreign words translated themselves automatically in Clara’s mind. As the realization sank in, she felt a bone-chilling cold wash over her, as if she had been plunged into an abyss of ice.

Night, oblivious to her reaction, replied coldly, "If I don't marry her, the Young family will force her to marry some old man. I can't bear to see her suffer like that."

"Then what about Clara? She was the only one there when you were blind. She’s stayed by your side all these years, loving you with everything she has! All of us saw that!"

Despite Wilder's evident fury, Night remained indifferent. "I’ll find a way to keep it from her. She will never know."

"How long can you hide it? A lifetime? Doesn't Clara want to marry you?"

Becoming increasingly impatient, Night’s tone sharpened. "Keep the news of my marriage to Selene under wraps. Don’t tell anyone. In a while, I’ll have a fake marriage certificate prepared for Clara."

After finishing, he hung up the phone, unwilling to listen to any more of Wilder's nonsense.

Lowering his eyes, Night tossed the phone aside and continued to claim Clara’s body.

Clara’s entire body couldn't stop trembling. After both reached the peak and began to straighten their clothes, she parted her lips to speak, but his phone chimed again.

It was the special notification tone for a "favorite" contact on WeChat.

Night picked it up, took a quick look, and then told the driver to pull over.

"Clara, something urgent came up at the office. Get out here and take a cab home, alright?"

She said nothing, only nodding silently as she opened the car door.

The black Maybach sped away like a bolt of lightning.

Clara stood by the roadside, staring blankly at the bustling traffic. She could no longer hold it back, and tears surged out.

No one knew that in order to bridge the distance between herself and Night, she had long ago mastered Italian.

Thus, she had understood every single word he said to Wilder.

Those words echoed in her ears like countless blades, stabbing deep into her heart.

As her love withered, buried memories came flooding back to her mind.

Night was the high-born young master, while she was merely the daughter of a servant.

Years ago, she had followed her mother into the magnificent Knightley Manor and saw Night gracefully playing the piano in the sunlight.

She had never heard such beautiful music, nor had she ever seen such a handsome boy.

With just one look, the name Night Knightley was deeply etched into Clara's soul.

She never mentioned to anyone that there was someone hidden in her heart.

Not only because of the chasm between their social statuses, but also because she knew Night loved someone else.

That girl was Selene Young, his childhood sweetheart.

He never hid his affection for her, treating her like a precious treasure in the palm of his hand.

Even at seventeen, Night had lost his sight in a car accident while trying to save Selene.

But from that day on, Selene seemed to vanish from the face of the earth. She never set foot in the Knightley house again and even started dating someone else.

Night wasn't the only grandson in the family. His parents were always busy with their careers and had no time to care for a son who could no longer see.

Night was sent to the old family estate, lonely and abandoned.

It was Clara who requested to be transferred there, staying by his side and caring for him personally for seven years.

At twenty-three, she even knelt outside a famous doctor's house for three days and three nights, finally pleading with him to come out and cure Night’s blindness.

The dusty pearl regained its luster and stunned the world.

In just one year, Night returned to the top, becoming the heir to the Knightley Group.

She was the one who accompanied him through winters and summers. She was the one who stayed with him from midnight until dawn. She was the one who helped him survive those seven grueling years.

The one who kissed him, hugged him, and shared his bed... was also her.

But she never expected that the first thing he would do after reclaiming power was to sign a marriage license with the woman who had abandoned him!

All these years, she had worked desperately hard to keep up with his footsteps.

But no matter what she became, Night’s parents felt she wasn't good enough for their son, repeatedly trying to pay her off to leave.

Night always argued with the family for her sake, and she didn't want to let him down, so she never considered leaving.

Until today.

Clara didn't want to stay by his side anymore.

She wiped away her tears, took out her phone, and dialed a number.

"Mrs. Knightley, I'm willing to accept the fifty million dollars. I will leave Night forever."
